realme is once again teasing a smartphone that promises to push the limits of battery technology. The company has posted a teaser with the tagline “THE BIGGEST JUST GOT EVEN BIGGER,” hinting at a device that could feature a battery larger than 10,000mAh.
Back in May, realme showcased a concept phone with a 10,000mAh silicon-anode battery, measuring just 8.5mm thick and weighing 212 grams. Now, the new teaser suggests an even bigger capacity, with a visual hint of “1x000mAh,” possibly pointing towards a 12,000mAh battery.
Chase Xu, Vice President of realme and President of realme Global Marketing, appeared in the teaser video, using a magnification metaphor to highlight the need for larger batteries. He also wrote in a post, “Battery limits broken—again. Finally meets my standards! But how big, exactly? August 27, you’ll see.”
realme has been known for pushing charging and battery innovations. At last year’s 828 Fan Festival, it unveiled its 320W SuperSonic Charge technology that could charge a 4420mAh battery in just 4 minutes and 30 seconds. This upcoming launch seems to continue the company’s strategy of breaking boundaries in smartphone battery performance.
