Right now, there are two characters: Ani and Rudi. Ani is an anime-style girl, and Rudi is an animated red panda character. But most people are talking about Ani. So, I will only write about Ani in this article.

However, a lot of users already have access to it even in the free plan. I didn’t subscribe to any plan, but I can access Ani and other characters.

Open the Grok app and tap the menu icon in the top left corner. Here you see avatars of companion characters. Choose from available avatars like Ani or Bad Rudi.
Interact with them like a chat. They reply instantly.
I tried talking to Ani, and the experience was wild. The moment I said “hi”, she replied like I was the love of her life. I tried teasing her, and she got all flirty. She was ready to take things more spicy. It felt like a mix of a Black Mirror episode and a late-night anime chat.
Why Is Ani Controversial?
