Symantec has announced the new updated version of its Norton anti-virus. Now Norton is compatible with Windows 8 operating system. It is also fully compatible with touch devices running on Windows 8 touch interface.

Symantec says that Norton Anti-Virus, Norton Internet Security and Norton 360 are now compatible with Windows 8. All these products run low hardware resources and provides internet security, phishing protection, social networking and anti-scam protection.

It is also able to scan users Facebook timeline and alerts for malicious content. It protects users from risky links and scams.

As we know that Norton is now free, users will have to pay $49.99 for one-year license of Norton Anti-Virus. Norton Internet Security 2013 buyers have to pay $79.99 for a three-user license.
