Sony has announced a limited edition Gran Turismo DualSense wireless controller to celebrate the racing series’ 30th anniversary in 2027. The new controller will launch on December 10, priced at $84.99 in the US.
Pre-orders will open on October 22 through PlayStation Direct and participating retailers. The controller will also be available in Europe and Japan, priced at €84.99, £74.99, and ¥12,480, respectively.
Alongside the controller announcement, Sony has released the first part of the Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV update. It adds six new cars, a new racing circuit, and several features to improve car collection and customization.
The update introduces the SUGO International Racing Course in Japan. The 3.58km circuit features 13 corners and significant elevation changes, giving players a new track to race on. Several new events will also be available through World Circuits.
The six new cars include the Citroen 2 CV 6 Charleston ’86, Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94, Honda Civic Si Group A version ’87, Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line ’23, MAZDA RX-VISION GT3 EVO ’26, and Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo.
Gran Turismo 7 is also getting new features for players who enjoy collecting cars. The new Vintage section in Brand Central lets players browse cars released in 2000 or earlier and find them through the Legend Cars and Used Cars dealerships.
Another addition is Car Concierge, which allows players who have completed the game to request vehicles by selecting their preferred model, color, and condition. The feature can handle up to four orders at once, depending on the player’s Collector Level.
The update also adds a Car Viewer feature, allowing players to examine their current car from different angles, change the background, turn the lights on or off, and adjust the front wheels for photos.
Sony is also raising the Collector Level cap from 70 to 90 and adding three new Café Extra Menus focused on high-performance electric cars, tuned GT-Rs, and Le Mans winners. New brand-based driving challenges will be available for Xiaomi, Yangwang, Hyundai, and Polestar.
The Spec IV update also adds new World Circuits events and two new Scapes locations: Angeles Crest Highway and Sportsland SUGO.
