Samsung has launched the Galaxy F70 5G in India, expanding its Galaxy F series with a mid-range smartphone featuring a 50-megapixel camera with OIS, a Super AMOLED display, and long-term software support. The phone is powered by the Exynos 1330 processor and packs a 5,000mAh battery. It runs Android 15-based One UI 7.0 and comes in two configurations with up to 6GB of RAM.

The Galaxy F70 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. The phone has a slim 7.5mm profile and weighs 192g. It will be available in Lilac Bliss and Bliss Black colour options.

The smartphone is powered by the Exynos 1330 5nm octa-core processor with two Cortex-A78 cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at up to 2GHz. It also features a Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. Samsung is offering the phone with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, paired with 128GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded by up to 2TB using a microSD card. The phone has a hybrid dual SIM slot, so users must choose between using a second SIM card and a microSD card.

The Galaxy F70 5G runs One UI 7.0 based on Android 15. Samsung promises four generations of Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates. It also comes with Samsung Knox security, Samsung Wallet, Circle to Search with Google, Quick Share, and Voice Focus. The extended software support is a useful addition for buyers who plan to keep their phones for several years.

The Galaxy F70 5G has a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, autofocus, and optical image stabilisation. It is accompanied by a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the front, the phone has a 13-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. OIS should help reduce blur caused by hand movement, although actual low-light performance will depend on the camera’s processing and sensor capabilities.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, bottom-firing speakers, a USB Type-C port, and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. Connectivity options include 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, and GLONASS. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy F70 5G is priced at Rs. 19,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs. 22,999. It will be available on Flipkart from October 20 at 12 noon. As part of the launch offer, buyers can get the base variant for Rs. 17,999 with an eligible bank discount.
