Microsoft has announced the PlayStation 5 release date for Forza Horizon 6. The racing game will launch on PS5 on January 26, 2027. Players who purchase the Premium Edition can start playing five days earlier, on January 21.
The early access date also marks the launch of the game’s first expansion. It will be released on January 21 across all platforms and will be available separately. Players who own the Premium Edition or the relevant expansion bundle will get access to the DLC as part of their purchase.
The PS5 version will include two graphics modes. Quality mode will run at 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, while Performance mode will target 60 FPS. The game will also support cross-play, allowing PS5 players to race with friends on other supported platforms.
Players will be able to carry their existing progress from Xbox Series X|S and PC to PS5. This means those who have already spent time playing the game on another platform can continue their progress without starting a new save.
The PS5 version is being developed by Panic Button in collaboration with Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios. Microsoft has also confirmed a free update for all platforms alongside the PlayStation launch. More details about the update have not been announced yet.
Forza Horizon 6 is already available on Xbox Series X|S and PC. The January launch will bring the game to PlayStation 5, giving more players a chance to experience its open-world racing gameplay.
