Epic Games Store has revealed the next two games that PC users will be able to claim for free. Out of Sight and TerraScape will be available at no cost from October 8, replacing the two games currently being offered as part of the weekly giveaway.
Both games will remain free to claim until October 15. As usual, users only need to claim them during the giveaway period to keep them in their Epic Games Store libraries permanently.
The first game, Out of Sight, is a horror puzzle adventure with a unique gameplay mechanic. You play as Sophie, a blind girl who is trying to escape from her captors inside a dark mansion. While Sophie cannot see normally, she can see through the eyes of her teddy bear, Teddy.
This unusual perspective plays an important role in the game. Players need to explore the mansion, solve puzzles and avoid enemies while using Teddy’s viewpoint to understand their surroundings. Stealth is also important, as making too much noise can reveal Sophie’s location.
The second free game is TerraScape, a medieval city-building puzzle game that takes a different approach to the genre. Instead of managing resources, fighting enemies or building a large economy, the game focuses on strategically placing buildings on floating islands to earn points.
The location of each building affects its value. Buildings can benefit from nearby structures, natural resources and specific biomes. Some combinations can also merge into larger structures that provide additional bonuses.
TerraScape includes several modes, including Kingdom Mode, scenarios, puzzle levels, weekly challenges and Creative Mode. It is designed as a more relaxed alternative to traditional city-building games, with the main challenge being finding the best possible placement for each structure.
Both Out of Sight and TerraScape will be available to claim for free on the Epic Games Store from October 8 to October 15. Until then, users can still claim the current free games, Buried Stars and System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, before they leave the giveaway on October 8.
