Apple has announced a new product event called “Pro and Tell” for October 28 in Los Angeles. The event is expected to focus on new Mac and iPad models, including touchscreen MacBook Pro models, M6-powered Macs and an iPad mini with an OLED display.
According to reports, Apple could introduce 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with OLED displays and touchscreen support. These laptops are expected to feature Apple’s M5 Pro and M5 Max chips and could be significantly lighter than the current MacBook Pro models. The redesign would mark a major change for Apple’s laptops, which have traditionally relied on a keyboard and trackpad rather than touch input.
Apple is also reportedly preparing an updated 14-inch MacBook Pro and a new iMac powered by the M6 chip. These models are expected to retain a familiar design, with performance improvements coming from the newer processor. Apple has not confirmed the specifications of any upcoming Mac.
The event could also bring a new iPad mini with an OLED display. The upgrade would replace the current LCD panel with a screen capable of delivering deeper blacks and stronger contrast. Other reported changes include an improved speaker system and a front-facing camera better suited for landscape video calls.
Apple has not officially confirmed which products will appear at the event or announced their prices and release dates. The reported touchscreen MacBooks and OLED iPad mini remain unconfirmed until the company reveals its plans.
