Wireless charging has one big problem. It gets hot. That heat can force a power bank to reduce charging speeds. That means a magnetic power bank rated for 25W may not actually deliver 25W for very long. Anker now has an unusual solution. It has put an actual cooling fan inside its new magnetic power bank.
The Anker MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro is the company’s latest attempt to keep Qi2.2 wireless charging running at its full speed for longer. Anker has added vents along one edge of the power bank to move air through the internal cooling system. The company says the fan can keep the power bank around 36 degrees Celsius while delivering up to 25W wirelessly.
By keeping temperatures under control, the power bank should be able to maintain its rated wireless charging speed instead of reducing the output as it gets hotter.
Anker calls it the first magnetic power bank with fan cooling. However, that claim needs some context. Sharge has already been selling its fan-cooled ICEMAG magnetic power banks since 2024, including newer models with Qi2.2 support.
The MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro is not limited to wireless charging. Its USB-C port can deliver up to 45W, which should be enough to charge tablets and many thin laptops. The power bank itself can also be recharged at 45W. Anker claims it can reach 80% charge in just 52 minutes.
There is also a small colour display on the short edge. It shows information such as the current output, battery health and the fan mode. Users can switch the fan between cooling and silent modes. The silent mode could be useful when using the power bank next to a bed or in a quiet environment.
It is important to note that Anker’s launch material does not mention the battery capacity. That is unusual for a power bank, because most people generally look for battery capacity in a power bank before anything else.
The MagGo Power Bank 2 Pro will cost €109.99 (around $127). Anker is offering an early-buyer price of €87.99 (around $102) with the code 2026MAGGO until September 16.
It is expected to go on sale later this month through Anker, Amazon and other retailers.
