Ubisoft has kicked off the 25th anniversary celebration of the Ghost Recon franchise with a free game giveaway. PC players can now claim Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier at no cost through Ubisoft Connect and keep it forever.
The offer is available for a limited time, which makes it a good opportunity for anyone looking to expand their game library without spending anything.
Players can claim the game from August 6 to August 13. Once redeemed through Ubisoft Connect during the promotion, the game remains in your Ubisoft library permanently.
The giveaway is part of Ubisoft’s anniversary celebration for the Ghost Recon series. Alongside the free game, the publisher has also launched discounts across the franchise on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
If you are not interested in buying games, there is more good news. Ubisoft is also offering free play weekends for two of its newer Ghost Recon titles.
Both Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint are free to play across PC and consoles from August 6 to August 10. Unlike Future Soldier, these are free trials, so you will need to purchase the games after the event if you want to continue playing.
Ubisoft has also released a major free update for Ghost Recon Wildlands. Called Last Rites, the update adds a new standalone story mission, 60fps support for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, visual improvements, additional customization options, and brings back the popular Predator event.
The company has also announced a new Ghost Recon Insider Program. Players can sign up to participate in future closed tests for the next Ghost Recon game, which Ubisoft has confirmed is currently in development.
