realme has announced the launch date of the realme 16x 5G in India. The smartphone will debut on August 12, 2026 and will be available via Flipkart, realme.com, and offline retail stores.
Ahead of the launch, the company has revealed several key specifications of the smartphone. The realme 16x 5G will focus on battery life, smooth performance, gaming, and AI-powered camera features.
The realme 16x 5G will feature a 144Hz display, which makes it one of the few phones in its segment to offer such a high refresh rate. The display is designed to provide smoother scrolling, responsive gaming, and better outdoor visibility.
The smartphone will also be powered by realme’s self-developed Flux Engine, which is designed to optimize system resources for smoother multitasking and consistent performance. For gamers, the phone includes the GT BOOST gaming engine that uses AI to allocate resources intelligently and deliver stable frame rates during gameplay.
One of the biggest highlights is its 7000mAh battery. realme claims the battery is designed to last all day and retain its health for up to six years. The phone will also support 45W fast charging, bypass charging, and reverse charging.
The realme 16x 5G will feature a 50MP AI rear camera. It will include AI-powered features such as AI Eraser and AI Ultra Clarity for improved photos. The phone will also support Motion Photo and Dual-View Video Mode, making it suitable for users who create content for social media.
The smartphone will feature a new Blooming Design while maintaining a slim profile. It will also offer IP65 dust and water resistance along with military-grade shock resistance for improved durability.
realme has not yet revealed the processor, RAM and storage variants, or pricing of the realme 16x 5G. These details will be announced during the official launch event on August 12.
