Microsoft has unveiled a new Gears of War: E-Day Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller to give fans a new piece of hardware inspired by the upcoming Gears of War game.

The controller uses a Locust Red and Deep Black color combination inspired by the game’s depiction of the Locust invasion. Its design takes inspiration from the cracked asphalt around an E-Hole and the glow coming from beneath it.

The controller also features detailed accents and themed face buttons that give it a distinct look compared with the standard Xbox Wireless Controller. It is designed to work as both a gaming controller and a collectible piece for Gears of War fans.

Microsoft is also offering another E-Day-inspired design through Xbox Design Lab. Unlike the standard limited-edition controller, this version can be customized by buyers.

Players can choose from different options, including metallic triggers and D-pads, as well as rubberized side and back grips. There is also an option for personalized engraving, allowing buyers to add their own text to the controller.

This gives fans two different ways to get an E-Day-themed controller. The limited-edition model comes with a fixed design, while the Xbox Design Lab version offers more room for customization.

Microsoft has also released a trailer showing both controller designs in more detail. Fans can use it to get a closer look at the finishes and design elements before deciding which version they want.

The controllers arrive as Microsoft continues to build anticipation for Gears of War: E-Day, which goes back to the early days of the Locust invasion and serves as a major chapter in the Gears of War story.
