Epic Games Store has announced its latest weekly free game giveaway, letting PC gamers claim Beacon Pines and We Were Here Together at no cost. Both games are available to download and keep permanently if claimed before the offer ends.
The new giveaway replaces last week’s free titles, OTXO and Sol Cesto, continuing Epic Games’ tradition of offering free PC games every week.
Beacon Pines is a narrative adventure that mixes mystery with a charming storybook art style. Players step into the shoes of Luka, a young boy investigating strange events taking place in his hometown. As the story unfolds, players collect special charms containing different words. These charms can be used at important moments in the story, changing the narrative and leading to different outcomes. The branching storyline makes every decision feel meaningful and encourages multiple playthroughs.
The second free title, We Were Here Together, is a cooperative puzzle game built specifically for two players. Set in the frozen landscapes near Castle Rock in Antarctica, the game challenges two friends to work together using only walkie-talkies for communication. Each player sees different clues and puzzles, making teamwork and clear communication the key to escaping.
Unlike many co-op games, We Were Here Together does not include a solo mode, so players will need a partner to experience the adventure.
Both games can be claimed from the Epic Games Store until August 13. Once added to your library during the promotional period, they remain yours forever.
