The Epic Games Store has refreshed its weekly free games promotion with two new PC games. Breathedge and Rival Stars Horse Racing are now available to claim for free, replacing last week’s Cardpocalypse giveaway.

Both games can be added to your Epic Games Store library at no cost until September 3. Once claimed, they remain in your library permanently, so you do not need to keep an active subscription to play them later.

Breathedge is a space survival game from developer RedRuins. It puts you in the middle of a spaceship wreck in deep space, where survival depends on managing limited oxygen and making use of whatever resources you can find around the wreckage.

Players need to collect scrap, craft tools and explore the surrounding zero-gravity environment. As you progress, you can build outposts and vehicles to reach more distant areas and uncover the reason behind the disaster.

The game combines survival mechanics with exploration and a humorous story. It originally launched in 2021.

Rival Stars Horse Racing takes a very different approach. Developed by PikPok, the game combines horse riding with ranch management and simulation elements.

Players take control of a run-down family ranch and work to restore it. This includes breeding horses, managing their stats, upgrading facilities and hiring staff. You can also enter competitions and develop your stable as you progress.

The game focuses on both horse riding and managing the ranch, giving players a mix of simulation and progression mechanics.

Both Breathedge and Rival Stars Horse Racing are available to claim for free through the Epic Games Store until September 3. You need to claim them before the offer ends. Once you add them to your Epic Games Store library, you can keep them permanently and download and play them later.
