Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 Launched in India With Larger FlexWindow, Exynos 2600 and Galaxy AI

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Z Flip8 in India alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8 series. The new clamshell foldable comes with a slimmer design, a larger cover display, upgraded cameras, and new Galaxy AI features.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 is Samsung’s thinnest and lightest Flip smartphone so far. It weighs just 180 grams and measures 6.1mm when unfolded.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 features a 6.9-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. On the outside, it gets a larger 4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow. Samsung has redesigned the cover display to let users complete more tasks without unfolding the phone.

The phone also comes with an upgraded hinge and an Armor Aluminum frame for improved durability. It carries an IP48 rating for water resistance.

Samsung has added several new AI-powered features to the FlexWindow. The Now Brief feature shows important information such as reminders, schedules, daily updates, and security alerts directly on the cover display. Users can also access Gemini using the side key or voice commands to perform tasks, open apps, get directions, or respond to messages without opening the phone.

The FlexWindow also supports customizable widgets, quick settings, and app shortcuts for easier one-handed use.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide camera. It also has a 10MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Samsung has included its ProVisual Engine to improve portrait quality and skin tones.

The foldable design also enables hands-free shooting through Flex Mode. A new Camcorder Grip interface with a zoom rocker makes video recording more stable and comfortable.

Other camera features include Super Steady with Horizontal Lock for smoother videos and FlipShot with Mirror View for better selfies using the cover display.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 is powered by Samsung’s new Exynos 2600 processor in India and comes with 12GB of RAM. It is available with up to 512GB of internal storage.

The smartphone runs Android 17 with One UI 9 and includes Samsung Knox, Knox Vault, and new AI privacy features.

It packs a 4,300mAh battery with support for 25W wired fast charging, 15W wireless charging, and Wireless PowerShare.

The Galaxy Z Flip8 is available in two storage variants:

  • 12GB + 256GB: Rs. 1,24,999
  • 12GB + 512GB: Rs. 1,44,999

Availability and Launch Offers

The Galaxy Z Flip8 is available for pre-order in India starting today. Sales will begin on August 8. It comes in Graphite, Cream, and Pink color options. Samsung is also offering an exclusive Mint variant through its official website.

As part of the launch offers, buyers can get an Rs. 5,000 upgrade bonus or an Rs. 4,000 bank cashback/UPI offer. The company is also offering up to 30 months of no-cost EMI with zero down payment on eligible purchases.

With the Galaxy Z Flip8, Samsung has refined its flip-style foldable with a larger cover display, better cameras, AI-powered software features, and a slimmer design, making it a strong option for users looking for a compact premium smartphone.
