OnePlus has revealed another key detail about the upcoming OnePlus N6x ahead of its India launch on July 31. The company has confirmed that the smartphone will feature a 7,000mAh battery, making it one of the biggest battery upgrades in its segment.

The OnePlus N6x will be the second smartphone in the new OnePlus N series after the OnePlus N6. It will be sold through Amazon India and the OnePlus India online store.

According to OnePlus, the 7,000mAh battery can deliver up to 2.5 days of battery life on a single charge.

The company has also shared some battery usage figures, claiming the phone can offer:

  • Up to 20.56 hours of video playback
  • Up to 133.56 hours of music playback
  • Up to 25.04 hours of social media usage
  • Up to 11.26 hours of video recording

These numbers are based on internal testing, and actual battery life may vary depending on usage.

OnePlus has already revealed the design of the N6x. The smartphone will be available in Burgundy Red and Ice Blue color options. It features a flat back panel with a textured finish and a pill-shaped camera module placed in the top-left corner. The camera island appears to include a single rear camera along with another cutout, which is expected to house a secondary sensor.

The phone will also include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature that is becoming increasingly rare on modern smartphones. The power button and volume keys are placed on the right side, while the OnePlus logo sits in the center of the rear panel.

OnePlus has not officially revealed the processor, display, cameras, charging speed, or pricing of the N6x. The company says more information will be announced before the official launch on July 31.

The OnePlus N6x launch comes at an interesting time for the brand. Over the past few weeks, social media has been flooded with rumors claiming that OnePlus could scale down or even exit the Indian smartphone market next year. These reports gained traction after speculation around changes in the company’s retail strategy and increasing competition in the budget smartphone segment.

However, OnePlus has not made any announcement suggesting it plans to leave India. In fact, the launch of a completely new N-series smartphone indicates the opposite. Companies planning to exit a market typically reduce product launches and investments rather than introducing new devices and expanding their lineup.

While the rumors remain unverified, the OnePlus N6x launch sends a strong signal that India continues to be an important market for the company.
