Google has officially confirmed that its next Made by Google launch event will take place on August 12, 2026, in New York City. The company is expected to unveil the Pixel 11 lineup along with the Pixel Watch 5. While there are rumors about new Pixel Buds, Google has not confirmed if they will be announced at the event.
The teaser shared by Google offers a glimpse of the phone’s signature camera bar, hinting at the arrival of the next-generation Pixel smartphones.
The Pixel 11 lineup is expected to include four models: Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Recent reports also suggest Google may drop the 128GB storage option across the entire lineup. All models are expected to start with 256GB of storage, while the Pro, Pro XL, and Pro Fold could also be available in a 1TB variant.
Leaks suggest the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro will retain their 6.3-inch OLED displays, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL is expected to feature a 6.8-inch OLED panel. The phones are rumored to be powered by Google’s new Tensor G6 chipset. The processor is said to feature a 7-core CPU and could be manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm process, which may deliver better performance and improved power efficiency compared to previous Tensor chips.
Another major upgrade could be the switch to the MediaTek M90 modem. If true, this would mark Google’s move away from Samsung modems, which have often been criticized for weaker connectivity and power efficiency.
The Pixel 11 series is also expected to feature a new Titan M3 security chip, replacing the Titan M2 that has been used in Pixel devices for several generations.
Google is expected to continue focusing on AI-powered camera features. According to recent leaks, the Pixel 11 series may introduce an ultra-low-light video mode that processes videos directly on the device without requiring cloud processing. This could allow users to record clearer videos in dark environments while keeping data processing offline.
Other rumored camera features include 4K Cinematic Blur recording at 30fps, up to 100x zoom with improved telephoto hardware and AI enhancements, and a new Video Relight feature for adjusting lighting after recording
How to watch the launch
The Made by Google 2026 event will begin at 6 PM ET on August 12, which is 3:30 AM IST on August 13. Google will livestream the event on YouTube and the Google Store website. Pre-orders are expected to open shortly after the announcement, while shipments could begin on August 20.
With Google now confirming the event date, more official details about the Pixel 11 series are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Until then, all specifications, storage options, colours, and pricing should be treated as leaks and rumors.
