Fans of Pixar’s beloved toy-filled adventure will soon get a chance to revisit one of the most popular licensed games from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 era. Atari and Digital Eclipse have officially announced Toy Story 3 Complete Edition, a modern remaster of the 2010 game based on Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 3.
The game is set to launch on October 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders are already live.
When Toy Story 3 first launched in 2010 alongside the animated film, it quickly became one of the most praised video game adaptations of a movie. While many licensed games from that era have largely been forgotten, Toy Story 3 remained a fan favorite thanks to its surprisingly polished gameplay and creative sandbox mode.
Over the years, the game became increasingly difficult to access as older consoles were phased out and digital storefronts changed. This new release brings the game back to modern platforms, making it easier for a new generation of players to experience it.
The remastered release includes the full Toy Story 3 experience with upgrades for modern hardware.
Players can relive key moments from the movie as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie in a 3D platforming adventure inspired by the film’s story.
One of the game’s biggest highlights is the Toy Box mode, also known as Woody’s Roundup. Unlike the story campaign, this mode gives players a large Wild West-themed sandbox where they can build and customize their own town, complete missions, unlock new items, and create their own adventures.
Players can also take control of characters beyond the main trio, including the iconic villain Evil Emperor Zurg.
Alongside the digital release, Atari has confirmed a physical bundle that will include Toy Story 3 Complete Edition and the newly announced Toy Story: Retro Roundup! collection.
The physical edition will be available for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
