Tecno has officially unveiled the new Camon Slim smartphone, expanding its Slim series lineup. While the phone shares some similarities with the recently announced Pova Slim and Spark Slim, the Camon Slim focuses more on design and aesthetics.
Tecno Camon Slim comes with an ultra-slim profile. The device measures just 6.39mm thick and features a curved unibody design. Despite the slim form factor, Tecno has managed to pack a large battery and maintain durability features.
Tecno is offering the Camon Slim in several unique finishes. The most eye-catching option is the New Mondrian edition, which uses a photochromic back panel. When exposed to ultraviolet light, the rear panel reveals colorful blocks in yellow, green, and cyan, inspired by the famous Mondrian art style.
The company is also offering Prism Black and Jungle Green variants that feature a 3D crystal diamond pattern. Another standout option is Van Gogh Blue, which takes inspiration from Vincent van Gogh’s iconic Starry Night painting and combines it with a matte finish.
Apart from the design, the phone also comes with strong durability credentials. The Camon Slim carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering protection against dust and water.
On the front, the smartphone features a 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 1224 x 2720 pixels. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate, making it one of the key specifications of the device. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G200 processor paired with 8GB of RAM. Buyers can choose between 128GB and 256GB storage options.
For photography, Tecno has opted for a single functional rear camera setup. The phone features a 50MP Sony Lytia 600 sensor on the back. Selfies and video calls are handled by a 32MP front camera.
Another unique element is the LED panel integrated into the camera module. It includes 354 LEDs and supports 55 different lighting effects. The lighting system can be used for notifications and visual effects, adding a distinctive touch to the overall design.
The device packs a 5,600mAh battery and supports 60W fast charging. This combination is particularly notable considering the phone’s slim profile.
Tecno has confirmed that the Camon Slim will be launched in multiple global markets. However, the company has not yet announced pricing details or market-specific availability.
