Electronic Arts, along with developers Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment, has announced that Star Wars Zero Company will launch on August 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The game will be priced at $49.99 on PC and $59.99 on consoles. A Deluxe Edition will also be available for $59.99 on PC and $69.99 on consoles.

The game is set during the Clone Wars. It is a single-player turn-based tactics game that puts players in command of an elite group of operatives working in the shadows of the conflict. Players take on the role of Hawks, a former Galactic Republic officer who now leads Zero Company, a team made up of skilled fighters from across the galaxy.

The squad includes a diverse cast of characters, including a Clone Trooper, a Mandalorian from the ancient Clan Verminoth, a Jedi Padawan, and other specialists. Together, they must track down and stop Kundri Fathom, leader of the Separatist-aligned cult known as the Infinite Coil.

Unlike traditional Star Wars action games, Zero Company focuses on tactical decision-making and squad management. Players will recruit new Operators, upgrade facilities at their headquarters known as The Den, acquire equipment, and choose missions from a holotable.

Characters can develop bonds that unlock new support abilities and cross-training benefits, helping improve combat effectiveness. The galaxy map includes more than 150 planets. Developers say player decisions will influence how the story unfolds, adding strategic depth and replay value.

Players can create Hawks and other Operators from eight Star Wars species, including Human, Togruta, Twi’lek, Zabrak, Devaronian, Neimoidian, Ovissian, and Weequay. Appearance, voice, talents, and specializations can all be customized as characters progress.

According to Bit Reactor CEO Greg Foertsch, the studio wanted to combine deep tactical gameplay with cinematic storytelling while delivering an authentic Star Wars experience. The developers have worked closely with Lucasfilm Games to create a new story and cast of characters set within the Clone Wars era.
