Samsung has launched the Galaxy A27 5G in India, expanding its mid-range Galaxy A series lineup. The smartphone succeeds the Galaxy A26 5G and brings improvements in display design, performance, AI features, and software support.
The Galaxy A27 5G features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. Samsung has also introduced an Infinity-O display design with a punch-hole cutout for the front camera, replacing the older notch design. The phone has slimmer bezels and measures just 7.8mm thick.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor built on a 4nm process. Samsung says the chipset offers improved GPU performance for gaming and streaming while also delivering better power efficiency. The phone is available with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. Users can further expand the storage by up to 2TB using a microSD card.
The Galaxy A27 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, the phone features a new 12MP front camera that promises better dynamic range and improved colour accuracy.
The Galaxy A27 5G runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5. Samsung has promised up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates along with six years of security updates.
Samsung has also added several AI-powered features under its “Awesome Intelligence” suite. Circle to Search with Google now supports multi-object recognition and virtual try-on for clothing. The built-in Object Eraser has also been improved for more accurate removal of unwanted objects from photos.
The Voice Recorder app can now transcribe and translate recordings simultaneously in 22 supported languages. Users can also choose between Google Gemini and Perplexity as their AI assistant. Samsung has also upgraded Bixby to understand natural language commands for controlling phone settings.
For security, the smartphone comes with Samsung Knox and Knox Vault, which provide hardware-level protection for sensitive user data. Other features include stereo speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP64 dust and water resistance, and NFC support.
The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
It measures measures 162.4 × 78.2 × 7.8mm and weighs 200g. The device 5G comes in Light Green, Light Pink, and Black colour options.

The 6GB + 128GB variant is priced at Rs. 28,999 after a Rs. 3,000 instant bank or UPI cashback. The 8GB + 128GB model is priced at Rs. 31,999, while the top-end 8GB + 256GB variant costs Rs. 37,499.
The smartphone will go on sale in India from July 3 through Samsung.com, Samsung Exclusive Stores, partner retail outlets, and other online platforms.
As part of the launch offers, buyers can get a Rs. 3,000 instant bank or UPI cashback. Samsung is also offering zero down payment for up to 15 months through select non-banking financial companies. Customers can also choose a 24-month EMI option with an eight-month down payment through select financing partners.
