Xbox Game Studios, Mojang Studios, and Double Eleven have officially announced Minecraft Dungeons II. The action RPG sequel will launch on September 29 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.

The game will be priced at $29.99.

The original Minecraft Dungeons became a hit among players looking for a more action-focused experience set in the Minecraft universe. Instead of traditional sandbox gameplay, the game offered dungeon crawling, loot collection, character progression, and cooperative multiplayer. Now, the adventure is continuing with a bigger sequel.

According to the developers, Minecraft Dungeons II introduces a new threat that puts the entire world in danger. Players will once again step into the role of a hero and fight to stop a growing evil force before it unleashes chaos across the land.

The sequel promises an all-new action RPG adventure filled with challenging battles, dangerous enemies, and brand-new locations to explore. Players will travel across a world in crisis while taking on high-stakes missions and facing increasingly powerful threats.

While Microsoft has not yet revealed many gameplay details, the announcement suggests that the sequel will expand on the formula that made the original game popular. Fans can likely expect more loot, new enemies, fresh environments, and cooperative gameplay options.
