Publisher CI Games and developer Hexworks have announced that Lords of the Fallen II is also coming to Nintendo Switch 2. The game was previously announced for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It is scheduled to launch this fall across all platforms.
The announcement marks the first time Nintendo players will be able to experience the dark fantasy action RPG series on Nintendo’s latest console.
According to game director James Lowe, the development team is working to ensure that the game’s signature dark fantasy world and fast-paced combat experience are fully preserved on Nintendo Switch 2. He added that the team is pleased with how the game currently looks and performs on the platform.
The Nintendo Switch 2 version will feature visuals powered by Unreal Engine 5 in both handheld and docked modes. CI Games says the game is targeting a stable 30 frames per second while making use of advanced technologies such as Nanite and Lumen. These technologies allow for more detailed environments, higher-quality character models, and dynamic lighting effects.
Lords of the Fallen II is being described as a “bolder, braver, and bloodier” evolution of the franchise. The sequel has been built using community feedback gathered from the 2023 release of Lords of the Fallen and lessons learned from more than 70 post-launch updates.
Players can also expect a larger and more varied world to explore. The sequel introduces new enemy factions tied to different regions, more dynamic boss battles, and a deeper version of the mysterious Umbral realm.
More details about Lords of the Fallen II are expected in the coming months ahead of its launch later this year.
