Atari and Pipeworks have officially announced Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered. The game brings the fan-favorite 2002 kaiju fighting game back to modern platforms. It is set to launch on November 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

The remaster is built in Unreal Engine 5 and upgrades the original game with improved visuals, gameplay enhancements, and new online multiplayer support.

The game was originally released in 2002 and became one of the most popular Godzilla. Gamers enjoyed its fast-paced monster battles and destructive environments. Atari is now partnering with original developer Pipeworks to recreate the experience for a new generation of players.

The remastered version will feature 12 playable kaiju, each with unique attacks, energy blasts, and Rage Mode abilities. Players will battle across eight locations, including real-world cities, Monster Island, and the Alien Mothership. Every arena will also have day and night variations.

Players can use buildings and landmarks as weapons while fighting rival monsters.

The game is also getting an online multiplayer option. It allows them to battle friends and other players online. It will also feature Local co-op multiplayer and will include additional single-player campaigns for each kaiju.

Atari has also improved the progression system. Players will be able to unlock monsters, stages, and gallery content in any order they choose instead of following a fixed path.

The digital version of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered will be priced at $29.99. Physical editions will be available for PS5, while the Nintendo Switch 2 physical edition will cost $39.99. Pre-orders are available now.
