Devolver Digital and Croteam have officially announced The Talos Principle III for PlayStation 5 and PC. The game will launch in 2027 and continue the story-driven puzzle series known for its philosophical themes and challenging gameplay.

The new game takes players to a strange place called the Anomaly, where the laws of physics no longer work normally. According to the developers, players will explore crumbling temples, abandoned science outposts, and mysterious environments while solving increasingly difficult puzzles.

The story follows an explorer trying to recover fragmented memories while uncovering the history of humanity’s future world. The developers describe the experience as a character-driven journey that explores themes like life, death, and existence.

Croteam says the game will feature both familiar and completely new puzzle mechanics. Players can choose to simply progress through the main story or explore deeper secrets hidden inside the Anomaly.

The game will also expand the lore of the series by introducing new locations and stories from what the developers call the “Universal Republic.” Players will explore futuristic environments ranging from terraformed desert planets to the gardens of Elysium.

The developers have also released a teaser trailer along with the first screenshots of the game. More details about gameplay and release timing are expected closer to launch.
