realme has launched the new realme Buds Air8 Pro in India. The new flagship TWS earbuds succeed last year’s Buds Air7 Pro and bring several upgrades including dual-DAC drivers, LHDC 5.0 support, adaptive ANC, Bluetooth 6.1, and up to 50 hours of battery life.
The realme Buds Air8 Pro has been co-designed with Japanese industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. The earbuds feature a mirror finish design along with a plateau-style lid and glossy stem design. They come in Master Black and Master White colour options.
Each earbud weighs 4.8 grams and comes with an IP55 dust and water resistance rating to protect against sweat, dust, and water splashes.
Buds Air8 Pro uses a premium coaxial dual-DAC driver setup that combines an 11mm dynamic bass driver with a 6mm micro-planar tweeter. realme says the setup is tuned to deliver deeper bass, better treble clarity, and improved vocal separation.
The earbuds also support LHDC 5.0 high-resolution audio codec along with AAC and SBC codecs. The Buds Air8 Pro is Hi-Res Audio certified and also includes Dynamic Bass and 3D Spatial Sound effects.
It features 55dB Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation. The ANC system automatically adjusts noise cancellation levels based on the surrounding environment. realme says the earbuds support up to 5000Hz ultra-wide frequency noise reduction.
Buds also offers a six-microphone AI noise cancellation system along with Bone Conduction Voice Processing Unit technology. realme claims the setup can reduce up to 90dB of surrounding noise during voice calls for clearer conversations.
Gamers also get a dedicated low-latency Game Mode with latency as low as 45ms for better audio synchronization in games like BGMI and COD Mobile.
The earbuds support Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity and can connect with up to three devices simultaneously. Other features include wear detection for automatic play and pause, Google Fast Pair support, and seamless pairing pop-up animations for Android and realme smartphones.
The Buds Air8 Pro also includes several AI-powered features such as AI simultaneous interpretation, real-time dialogue translation, and support for translation across 32 foreign languages.
The earbuds pack a 62mAh battery in each earbud and a 590mAh battery inside the charging case. realme claims up to 12 hours of standalone playback on the earbuds and up to 50 hours total playback with the charging case when ANC is turned off.
The earbuds support USB Type-C fast charging, and a quick 10-minute charge can deliver up to 11 hours of music playback. Full charging takes around 120 minutes for the earbuds and charging case together.
