Fans of the The Last of Us franchise may want to check out The Left Behind, a new zombie survival game that now has a free demo available on Steam.

The game is already getting attention because of its post-apocalyptic setting, exploration gameplay, and survival mechanics that feel similar to The Last of Us games.

The Left Behind is a solo and co-op survival game set in an open-world Dutch landscape. Players explore buildings during the day, collect supplies, hunt for resources, and prepare for dangerous enemy hordes that appear at night. The game focuses heavily on scavenging and exploration. Players can search abandoned buildings, collect loot, and survive against infected enemies.

It also supports co-op gameplay, so you can survive with friends.

Many players loved the exploration in The Last of Us Part II, especially entering abandoned buildings, finding supplies, and discovering small environmental stories.

The Left Behind seems to offer a similar kind of survival experience. While the graphics are not on the same level as Naughty Dog’s games, the atmosphere and survival gameplay may still appeal to fans of zombie survival games.

Players can try the game for free right now through its Steam demo. The full game is scheduled to launch on July 27 later this year.
