motorola has confirmed the launch of the new motorola razr fold in India on May 13. The smartphone was first introduced at CES earlier this year and has already started rolling out in select global markets. It will be Motorola’s first book-style foldable smartphone for the Indian market.
The motorola razr fold features a dual-display design. When folded, users get a 6.56-inch external display for quick access to notifications, apps, and controls. Once unfolded, the device reveals a large 8.1-inch 2K LTPO internal display designed for multitasking, entertainment, and productivity.
The device uses Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3. Motorola says this new protection offers up to 75% better drop performance compared to previous generations.
The smartphone comes with a triple rear camera setup led by a 50MP sensor. It also includes a 32MP selfie camera on the outer display and a 20MP camera inside for video calls and selfies while the phone is unfolded.
The foldable smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Mobile Platform. The smartphone will be available in 12GB RAM + 256GB storage and 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variants.
It runs Android 16 out of the box, and Motorola is promising long-term software support with up to seven Android OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
The device packs a large 6000mAh silicon-carbon battery. It supports 80W TurboPower wired fast charging and 50W TurboPower wireless charging.
After launch, the device will be available through Flipkart, motorola India, and offline retail stores across the country.
