Motorola has officially revealed the full specifications of the upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ ahead of its June 4 launch. The phone was already teased earlier with its color options and design, but now the company has confirmed nearly all the major hardware details through its official listing.

If you check the specs, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ has a strong focus on display quality, cameras, battery life, and durability.

On the front, the Edge 70 Pro+ features a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and up to 144Hz refresh rate support. Motorola says the panel can reach a peak brightness of 5,200 nits and also supports HDR10+ content. The display also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset. Motorola will pair the processor with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. It should deliver fast app performance, smoother multitasking, and quicker loading times.

The phone will run Android 16 out of the box. Motorola is also promising 3 years of Android OS updates and 5 years of security patches. While that is decent, some rivals in the premium segment are now offering even longer software support policies.

Motorola is also pushing cameras heavily with this device.

The Edge 70 Pro+ comes with a triple rear camera setup consisting of:

  • 50MP Sony Lytia 710 primary sensor
  • 50MP ultrawide camera with autofocus
  • 50MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 3.5x optical zoom

For selfies, the phone includes a 50MP front camera with autofocus support.

Interestingly, Motorola is using 50MP sensors across all cameras, including the front camera. The inclusion of a periscope camera is also notable because telephoto zoom cameras are still uncommon in many phones outside the ultra-premium segment.

Other features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, Wi-Fi 6E, and GPS.

The phone packs a large 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery with support for 90W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

Motorola has also focused on durability. The phone carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance, along with MIL-STD 810H certification.

On paper, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ looks like a feature-packed phone. The company appears to be targeting users who want flagship-level hardware without necessarily paying ultra-premium prices.

The final pricing will ultimately decide how competitive the phone becomes, especially against brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Samsung, which are all aggressively competing in the premium Android market right now.
