vivo has introduced its latest Y series smartphone, the vivo Y600 Pro, in China. This phone comes as a successor to the Y500 Pro and focuses heavily on battery life, display quality, and durability.

The vivo Y600 Pro features a large 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate. The display comes with HDR10+ support and 4320Hz PWM dimming.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor. It is an octa-core chipset clocked up to 2.5GHz and paired with a Mali-G610 GPU. vivo has also added a large 3810 mm² VC liquid cooling system. This should help in keeping temperatures under control during gaming or heavy usage. The device comes with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The vivo Y600 Pro runs on Android 16 with OriginOS 6 on top.

The device includes a 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It also features an Aura light for better low-light shots. On the front, there is a 32MP camera for selfies and video calls.

It supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and USB Type-C. It also includes features like an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and an infrared sensor.

The device packs a massive 10200mAh battery, which is much larger than what we usually see in smartphones. It supports 80W fast charging and can be fully charged in around 80 minutes.

vivo is also using semi-solid-state battery technology. This allows the battery to work reliably in extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 40°C.

The measures around 8.15mm in thickness and weigh about 221 grams, depending on the variant. It comes with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. This means it can handle dust, splashes, and even high-pressure water to some extent.

Pricing starts at 2099 yuan (around Rs. 28,900) for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The top-end model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage goes up to 2599 yuan (around Rs. 35,800).

The phone is already available for pre-order in China and will go on sale starting May 5. vivo is also offering a small discount during the first sale.
