Xiaomi has launched the Redmi A7 Pro 5G in India. This is the first Pro model in the Redmi A series. The company is targeting everyday users who want a large display, long battery life, and 5G connectivity at an affordable price.
The Redmi A7 Pro 5G features a 6.9-inch display, which Xiaomi claims is the largest in its segment. It also offers a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. The display can reach up to 800 nits of brightness. The display also supports Wet Touch 2.0, so the screen remains responsive even with wet or oily fingers. The phone includes triple TÜV Rheinland certification along with DC dimming to reduce eye strain during long usage.
The device is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T8300 processor. It promises to handle daily tasks smoothly. It has 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and also supports up to 8GB of virtual RAM expansion for better multitasking. It offers up to 128GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage and supports expandable storage up to 2TB via microSD card.
The Redmi A7 Pro 5G runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3.0. It brings features like Google Gemini integration and Circle to Search. Xiaomi HyperIsland is included for better multitasking, and Xiaomi Interconnectivity allows seamless connection with other Xiaomi devices.
The phone has 32MP AI dual rear camera. It supports HDR and improved light capture for better photos in different lighting conditions. The front camera is 8MP and is suitable for selfies and video calls. It also has features like AI Sky and Document Mode for offering extra utilities.
The phone also includes practical features like a 200 percent volume boost speaker, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and IP52 rating for basic protection.
The Redmi A7 Pro 5G packs a 6300mAh battery. It supports 15W charging and also offers 7.5W reverse wired charging.
The Redmi A7 Pro 5G is priced starting at Rs 11,499 under an introductory offer. The base 4GB + 64GB variant is priced at Rs 12,499, while the 4GB + 128GB variant costs Rs 13,499. Both variants get a Rs 1,000 limited-period discount.
The smartphone will be available on Amazon India, Mi.com, and retail stores starting April 15, 2026. It comes in Black, Mist Blue, and Sunset Orange color options. Buyers can also avail up to three months of no-cost EMI offers.
