realme has launched a new budget 5G smartphone in India. The realme NARZO 100 Lite 5G comes with a big display and a massive battery, starting at Rs. 13,499.
realme NARZO 100 Lite 5G features a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It also offers up to 900 nits peak brightness, which should help in outdoor visibility. Offering a 144Hz display in this segment is impressive, but it remains to be seen if that actually works or is just a marketing gimmick.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. The company is also adding a large vapor cooling system. It offers up to 6GB RAM, along with virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB. The phone also comes with up to 128GB of storage, which is expandable up to 2TB with a microSD card.
The phone runs on Android 16 with realme UI 7.0 on top.
You get a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. I mean, there’s nothing exciting about the camera. It seems Realme is only targeting people looking for performance only.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a bottom speaker with boosted volume.
Connectivity options are 5G SA / NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and USB Type-C.
The device packs a 7000mAh battery, which is quite rare in this segment. realme claims it can easily last up to two days on a single charge. It supports 15W charging and also comes with bypass charging.
The phone also gets an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance and MIL-STD-810H certification for durability.
