OnePlus has confirmed the launch of its next Nord CE series smartphones in India. The OnePlus Nord CE6 and OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite will be announced on May 7. This comes shortly after the launch of the Nord 6 earlier this month.
OnePlus Nord CE6
The Nord CE6 will come in Fresh Blue, Lunar Pearl, and Pitch Black colour options. It features a clean back design with a metal cube camera module. The phone also has curved edges and large rounded corners. OnePlus is focusing on durability this time. The phone is said to come with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It will also have MIL-STD-810H certification for better durability.
On the front, the phone will feature a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It will offer up to 1800 nits brightness and 3840Hz PWM dimming.
The Nord CE6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. It will also include a touch-reflex chip with a 3200Hz touch sampling rate. For cooling, the phone has a large heat dissipation area of over 33,000 mm².
The phone will pack a massive 8000mAh battery with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging. OnePlus claims it can last over 2.5 days on a single charge. It will also support 27W reverse wireless charging.
OnePlus Nord CE6 Lite
The Nord CE6 Lite will come with a different design. It will feature a vertical camera layout and a punch-hole display. The phone will be available in Vivid Mint and Hyper Black colours.
As per earlier leaks, the device may feature a 6.7-inch LCD screen, a 50MP main camera, and a 16MP front camera. It is also expected to remove the 3.5mm headphone jack to make space for the larger battery.
It will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Apex processor. This is an upgrade over the Snapdragon 695 used in the previous model. The phone is also confirmed to feature a 144Hz display and a 7000mAh battery.
A recent listing on Geekbench suggests the phone will come with 8GB RAM and run Android 16.
Both phones will be available on Amazon, the OnePlus India website, and offline stores after the launch. More details, including pricing, will be announced at the official launch event on May 7.
