Microsoft has kicked off its latest Free Play Days promotion, and this time the focus is entirely on one of gaming’s most popular franchises. Xbox players can try multiple Assassin’s Creed titles for free over the weekend.
Unlike previous events that usually include a mix of genres, this promotion is dedicated to games from Ubisoft. From older stealth-focused titles to newer RPG-style entries, players get a good look at how the series has evolved over the years.
Here are all the games included in this Free Play Days event, along with platform support:
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (Xbox Series X|S)
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
- Assassin’s Creed Origins (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
- Assassin’s Creed Unity (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
- Assassin’s Creed Syndicate (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One)
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage (Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One) — limited to 2 hours of gameplay
This lineup covers both classic Assassin’s Creed gameplay and newer open-world RPG experiences.
One important highlight of this event is that it is not limited to Game Pass members. Anyone with an Xbox console can access these games during the promotion. This makes it easier for more players to try the franchise without any upfront cost.
Microsoft has also confirmed that all progress made during the free weekend will carry forward if players decide to buy the game later.
Microsoft says that all these titles now run at 4K resolution and 60 FPS on the Xbox Series X. This improves the overall experience, especially for players coming back to older titles.
All the games included in the promotion are currently available at discounted prices. This gives players a chance to pick their favorite title at a lower cost after trying it.
It is important to note that this Free Play Days event will run slightly longer than usual. It will end on April 6 at 11:59 PM PT. Players can find these games by going to the Xbox Store, then opening the Subscriptions section where the Free Play Days collection is listed.
