Infinix has officially announced the Infinix GT 50 Pro, its latest gaming-focused smartphone. The device succeeds the GT 30 Pro and is positioned as the core product in the company’s new GT Ecosystem. The phone combines physical controls, advanced cooling, and AI-powered software to deliver a complete gaming experience.

The GT 50 Pro features a new design inspired by hypercars. It includes a transparent “Pipeline Window Display” that shows the internal liquid cooling flow. The device also features “Mechanical Light Waves,” an RGB lighting system with 14 lighting effects and 8 customizable colors.

It also features the “Open-Cut Pressure-Sense GT Trigger” system. These are physical shoulder buttons designed to give a console-like experience on a smartphone.

The triggers support dual-stage pressure sensing. This means users can perform light press, heavy press, and sliding gestures. Gamers can map up to four functions per trigger and adjust sensitivity across 10 levels.

These triggers are not limited to gaming. Users can also use them for taking screenshots, starting screen recording, cleaning memory, or launching the Folax AI assistant. In the camera app, they can be used for clicking photos, burst shots, and even zoom control.

The triggers offer low latency of under 20ms and are designed to last over 3 million presses, making them suitable for long-term use.

The GT 50 Pro features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 1208 × 2644 pixels. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and offers five refresh rate levels from 30Hz to 144Hz depending on usage.

The display also includes 330Hz touch sampling rate, 2800Hz instant touch sampling rate, and 2304Hz PWM dimming for eye comfort. It can reach up to 4500 nits peak brightness and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.

It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset, which is built on a 4nm process and runs at up to 3.25GHz. The processor uses the Mali-G720 MC6 GPU and also brings MediaTek Frame Rate Converter technology. This helps in stabilizing frame rates and delivering smoother gameplay.

It also supports native 144FPS gaming in popular titles like Call of Duty: Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Other supported games include Free Fire and more.

Infinix claims the chipset can deliver strong performance even in demanding games. The phone is also equipped with an in-house N1 network chip, which improves signal strength and reduces latency during online gaming.

To address overheating issues, Infinix has added HydroFlow Liquid Cooling Architecture. It uses a micro-pump liquid cooling network with a large 6437mm² diaphragm. A piezoelectric-driven ceramic heat pump circulates coolant at 6.5ml per minute to remove heat from core components. The system is designed to cover all major heat sources for better thermal control.

The phone comes with a 50MP main camera with f/1.59 aperture and support for both OIS and EIS. It also has an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 13MP front camera.

Both front and rear cameras support up to 4K video recording at 60fps. The camera system is enhanced by Infinix’s AI RAW algorithm, which improves color accuracy and image quality.

The GT 50 Pro runs on Android 16 with XOS 16. Infinix promises 3 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates. The device includes a Hardcore Esports Mode that blocks notifications, disables gestures, and optimizes the system for gaming.

The phone includes several AI features such as AI Smart Trigger for automating in-game actions, AI Voice Prompt for real-time alerts, AI ZoneTouch Master for better touch response, and AI Magic Voice Changer with multiple voice options.

Connectivity features include 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GNSS, and NFC. The phone also includes an in-display fingerprint sensor, IR blaster, and IP64 dust and splash resistance.

For audio, the phone includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. This helps deliver directional sound, which is useful in competitive gaming.

The GT 50 Pro is backed by a large 6500mAh battery. It supports 45W wired fast charging, 30W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wired charging.

GT Ecosystem accessories

The GT 50 Pro is part of a larger ecosystem of accessories.

Infinix GT 50 Pro
  • GTBUDS 5 offers Dolby Atmos audio, low latency under 50ms, and 50dB hybrid active noise cancellation.
  • GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0 accessory offers 12W thermoelectric cooling and supports wireless bypass charging. This means power goes directly to the motherboard instead of the battery, reducing heat and improving battery life.
  • GTWATCH 5 Pro comes with GNSS support, automatic workout detection, and can act as a secondary screen for notifications.
  • The company is also working on a GT Game Controller that will improve ergonomics and provide better haptic feedback.

Price and availability

The Infinix GT 50 Pro is priced at Rp 6,999,000 (around Rs. 38,295) for the 12GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 512GB model costs Rp 7,999,000 (around Rs. 43,685).

The phone will go on sale starting April 25 in Indonesia.
