Infinix is preparing to launch its next gaming smartphone, the Infinix GT 50 Pro. The device will arrive as the successor to the Infinix GT 30 Pro, which was launched in India last year. The new phone will debut in select global markets on April 24.

The company has already revealed key details about the phone, including its design, display, and gaming-focused features. It will also be available in at least two colour options.

The Infinix GT 50 Pro will feature a flat AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. It will support a 144Hz refresh rate and can handle up to 144fps gaming in supported titles. The phone is also expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chipset. It may come with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage.

One of the key highlights of the phone is its gaming control system. It includes pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers called “Pressure-Sense GT Trigger” placed on the right side of the device. These are designed to improve gameplay in shooting and action games.

On the left side, the phone will include a ZoneTouch Master button for additional gaming controls. The layout also includes standard power and volume buttons on the right side.

To manage heat during heavy usage, the phone will include a liquid cooling system. The system is visible through the back panel and is designed to reduce overheating and performance throttling during long gaming sessions.

For audio, the GT 50 Pro will support Hi-Res audio for both wired and wireless headphones. It will also include Dolby Atmos support for a better sound experience.

The phone will feature a dual rear camera setup placed inside a rectangular module next to an LED flash. The setup is expected to include a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, it may feature a 13MP selfie camera inside a hole-punch display cutout.

The design also includes a visible cooling system on the back, along with a gaming-focused aesthetic. It is expected to launch in silver and red colour options, although final marketing names are not confirmed.

The Infinix GT 50 Pro will launch globally on April 24 in select markets. More details on pricing and regional availability are expected at the launch event.
