Publisher tinyBuild and developer Lazy Bear Games have officially announced Graveyard Keeper II. The game is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

The sequel builds on the original’s unique mix of simulation and dark humor, but this time with a much larger scope. Players step into the role of the Grand Inquisitor, taking control of not just a graveyard but also a growing operation that includes town management and combat.

The game still focuses on resource management and progression. Players will gather materials, process resources, and build machines to automate production. The sequel is set to expand these systems, making automation more central to gameplay.

The game now features combat. Players can lead an undead army, build defenses, and take part in battles to protect the kingdom from a zombie apocalypse. This adds a new layer to the gameplay.

The town also plays a bigger role this time. Players can rebuild it, complete quests for residents, and turn everyday activities into a more structured and scalable system. The game continues to lean into its dark, quirky tone, with unusual characters and a twisted world.

To build hype around the new game, the original Graveyard Keeper is being offered for free for a limited time across select platforms.
