Developer Pearl Abyss confirmed that Crimson Desert has crossed 5 million units in global sales. The studio posted on X about this milestone and thanked players for their support since launch.
The game launched on March 19 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. It quickly gained strong momentum after its release.
Pearl Abyss shared a message of gratitude for players, saying the achievement would not have been possible without the community’s support. The company highlighted how players have explored the world of Pywel and joined the journey as Greymane.
Crimson Desert reached 2 million sales within just one day of launch. It then moved to 3 million units by March 24 and 4 million units by March 31. Now it has crossed the 5 million mark worldwide.
Along with strong sales, the game also saw high interest on streaming platforms. At launch, Crimson Desert peaked at 496,244 concurrent viewers on Twitch, showing massive early hype and visibility among gamers and streamers.
Even after the launch peak, the game continues to maintain steady attention on Twitch, with daily viewership now averaging over 4,000 viewers. This shows that while the initial hype has settled, the game still holds a consistent streaming presence.
Player activity on Steam also shows a strong performance pattern. The game crossed over 100,000 concurrent players even after the early launch phase. It recorded an all-time peak of 276,215 concurrent players, while the 24-hour peak currently stands at 127,915 players. These numbers indicate that the game managed to retain a large active player base beyond its launch window.
