A new Borderlands Mobile game has quietly appeared on the App Store. Zynga released it without any prior announcement, and the game is currently part of a limited-time test only available to iPhone users in the United States.
There was no trailer and no teaser. The game just showed up in the App Store, and players discovered it by chance.

Zynga confirmed that this is an early test and not a full launch. This makes it clear that the game is still in development and could change based on player feedback.
The App Store listing describes it as an action-packed looter shooter, which is exactly what you expect from a Borderlands game. You play as Vault Hunters, collect weapons, upgrade abilities, and complete different types of missions.
From the screenshots, the game includes familiar characters like Claptrap, Moxxi, and Tiny Tina. Enemy types and overall art style also look very close to the mainline games.
There are multiple mission types, including Campaign Missions, Tower of Terror, and Circle of Slaughter. Combat includes a wide range of weapons like pistols and rocket launchers, and the gameplay is said to be optimized for mobile.
If you have played Borderlands 3 or earlier titles, the core idea remains the same. The difference here is how it translates to mobile. Controls, mission length, and progression will likely be adjusted for shorter sessions. Since this is a free-to-play game, monetization will also play a role, though details are not clear yet.
