Microsoft has announced a new Xbox Partner Preview showcase, scheduled for March 26. The event will focus on third-party games and is expected to run for around 30 minutes. While it may not be a long showcase, it is shaping up to be an important one, given everything happening around Xbox right now.

The Xbox Partner Preview will be streamed live on March 26 at 10 AM PT. In India, this means viewers can watch it at around 10:30 PM IST. The event will be available on official Xbox channels, including YouTube and Twitch, so anyone can tune in easily.

As the name suggests, the Xbox Partner Preview will highlight games from external studios. This means there will be no updates from Xbox’s first-party developers. Still, the lineup looks interesting. The showcase will include updates on Stranger Than Heaven, The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

Microsoft has also teased “new reveals,” which likely means brand-new game announcements. These Partner Preview events usually include surprise titles, so expectations are already building. The company also confirmed that some of these games will be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on day one.

This event comes just after Microsoft’s keynote at the Game Developers Conference 2026, where the company shared early details about its next-generation Xbox, currently known as Project Helix.

At the same time, Xbox has been going through major internal changes. Phil Spencer has retired, Sarah Bond has stepped down, and Asha Sharma is now leading the gaming division.

Because of this, the upcoming showcase carries more weight than usual. It is not just about games. It is also about how Xbox wants to present itself going forward.

Microsoft has clearly said that the event will focus on games and not hardware. So, anyone expecting more details about Project Helix or new consoles should keep expectations in check. There is also curiosity around who will host the event. With leadership changes at Xbox, it will be interesting to see whether Asha Sharma takes the spotlight or if familiar faces return.

The company recently faced criticism over its “This Is An Xbox” campaign, which reportedly did not resonate well internally. Pulling back from that campaign and quickly announcing a Partner Preview suggests that Microsoft wants to shift the conversation back to games.
