Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy A57 5G and Samsung Galaxy A37 5G in India. Both phones bring similar design and features, but differ in performance and some hardware details.
Both devices come with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports high brightness and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both sides. The Galaxy A57 stands out with a metal frame, which gives it a more premium feel compared to the A37. The display also supports Samsung’s Vision Booster technology.
The Galaxy A57 is powered by the newer Exynos 1680 processor, while the Galaxy A37 runs on the Exynos 1480. This means the A57 should offer better performance in gaming and heavy usage. Both phones offer up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
Both phones feature a 50MP main sensor with OIS and support 10-bit HDR recording on both front and rear cameras. The difference comes in the ultra-wide camera, where the A57 gets a 12MP sensor, while the A37 has an 8MP one. Both also include a 5MP macro camera and a 12MP front camera.

These devices run Android 16 with One UI 8.5 and come with a promise of up to six generations of OS and security updates, which is a big advantage in this segment.
Connectivity is another area where the A57 has an edge. It supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6.0, while the A37 offers Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.3. Both phones include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Battery capacity is the same on both devices. Both phones pack a 5000mAh battery and support 45W fast charging. Samsung claims that the battery should go from zero to 60 percent in around 30 minutes of charging.
The Galaxy A57 5G measures 161.5×76.8×6.9mm and weighs 179g, while the Galaxy A37 5G measures 162.9 x 78.2 x 7.4mm and weighs 196g.

Both phones are available for pre-order and will go on sale on April 10. Samsung is also offering a Rs. 3000 instant discount with select bank cards or an exchange bonus of the same value.
Samsung has clearly tried to keep both phones similar and then justify the price gap with a few upgrades. The Galaxy A37 5G looks like a balanced option for most users, while the Galaxy A57 5G feels more future-ready.
These phones get the basics very solid, but aren’t exciting enough for the price. We already have so many better options, such as Motorola Signature, Poco X8 Pro Max 5G, OnePlus 15R, iQOO 13, Realme GT 7 Pro, and Vivo X200T. Even the much older Samsung Galaxy S24 is better than these newly launched phones. I could also point out many more phones that are better than these phones.
