Resident Evil Requiem has crossed 6 million copies sold worldwide, according to an announcement from Capcom. The company says this makes it the fastest title in the Resident Evil series to reach this sales milestone.
The game launched on February 27, 2026, and has been performing strongly since its release. Earlier this month, Capcom confirmed that the game had already crossed 5 million sales on March 4. Reaching six million units so quickly shows that demand for the new entry in the long-running survival horror franchise remains strong.
Resident Evil Requiem is the latest installment in the long-running Resident Evil series. The game focuses on delivering a more immersive survival horror experience with photorealistic visuals and intense action gameplay.

The game uses two protagonists and allows players to experience the story from different perspectives. Capcom says the game balances fear-driven survival gameplay with fast-paced action, which has been a defining element of the modern Resident Evil titles.
To keep players engaged, Capcom has also confirmed that it plans to release additional content and ongoing updates for the game in the future.
The announcement also comes just days before the Resident Evil franchise reaches a major milestone. The series will celebrate its 30th anniversary on March 22, 2026. Capcom has already planned several activities for the anniversary year. These include a collaboration with Universal Studios Japan based on Resident Evil Requiem. The company also plans to host orchestral concerts featuring Resident Evil music in Japan, the United States, and Europe.
