Redmi has confirmed that it will launch a Special Edition of the Redmi Note 15 5G in India on April 2. The company has not shared full details yet, but a teaser gives a clear look at the design.
The Special Edition appears to be a new color variant of the existing model. It features a red faux leather back panel with a gold-finished frame. The design looks similar to the New Year Cherry Red version that was earlier introduced in China, so this could be a rebranded version for the Indian market.
In terms of specifications, the phone is expected to remain the same as the standard model. It may come with a 6.77-inch AMOLED display and run on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. The device is also likely to include a dual rear camera setup with a 108MP primary sensor and a 20MP front camera for selfies.
The phone could pack a 5,520mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. As per the announcement, the Special Edition will be available for purchase via Flipkart.
Alongside this, Xiaomi is also preparing to launch another budget phone, the Redmi 15A, in India on March 27.
