Realme has launched its new smartphone, Narzo Power 5G, in India today. Interestingly, it is almost identical to the Realme P4 Power 5G. The design and specs are the same.

Realme Narzo Power 5G features a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The screen supports HDR10+ and offers peak brightness of up to 6500 nits. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The display uses a curved design that the company calls HyperGlow 4D Curve+.

The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor built on a 4nm process. It also includes a dedicated HyperVision+ AI chip. According to the company, the phone can support 90fps gameplay in BGMI while improving power efficiency.

The device comes with 8GB RAM and offers up to 14GB virtual RAM expansion. Storage options include 128GB and 256GB with UFS 3.1 storage. To keep the phone cool during heavy use, realme has added a 7000mm² AirFlow VC cooling system that helps manage heat during gaming or 4K video recording.

The phone has a dual rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP main camera with Sony IMX882 sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. On the front, the phone features a 16MP Sony IMX480 camera for selfies and video calls. The rear camera supports 4K video recording, and the camera system also includes several AI photography features.

The phone runs Android 16 with realme UI 7.0 out of the box. The company promises three Android OS updates and four years of security updates.

It uses TransView Design. The design focuses on showing elements of technology rather than hiding them. The device will be available in Titan Silver and Titan Blue colour options.

Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, IP66, IP68, and IP69 water and dust resistance, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB Type-C connectivity.

The realme Narzo Power 5G packs a 10,001mAh battery, which the company says is the biggest battery used in an Indian smartphone so far. It uses silicon-carbon anode technology, which helps improve battery life and efficiency.

The phone supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, which the company claims can deliver several hours of usage with just a few minutes of charging. It also supports 55W PPS charging, 27W reverse charging, and bypass charging.

Despite the large battery, the phone weighs 219 grams. realme says the battery has passed military-grade shock tests and has received TÜV Rheinland 5-Star Battery Certification. The company also claims the battery can retain 80 percent health even after four years of use.

The realme Narzo Power 5G is priced at Rs. 27,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB model, while the 8GB + 256GB variant comes at Rs. 29,999. The phone comes in Titan Silver and Titan Blue.

For the first sale, realme is offering discounts. The base model will be available for Rs. 23,999 after a Rs. 3,000 bank offer and an additional Rs. 1,000 price discount. The top-end model will cost Rs. 25,999 during the first sale. Buyers can purchase the phone on Amazon and realme.com, with the option of six months no-cost EMI. Early buyers will also get a four-year battery warranty worth Rs. 2,999.

Just to remind you, Realme P4 Power was also launched with the same price tag. It is hard to understand why Realme keeps doing this, launching nearly identical phones at the same price. Instead of giving customers a clear choice, it ends up creating confusion, when what the brand really needs to focus on is making a solid phone in each segment.
