Motorola has officially introduced the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion. The new smartphone brings a refreshed design, a large quad curved OLED display, a massive 7000mAh battery option, and new AI features built directly into the system. The company has also unveiled a special FIFA World Cup 26 Collection edition alongside the standard model.
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion features a quad curve design. The front glass smoothly blends into the back panel, which gives the phone a clean and seamless look. The back comes in nylon and linen-inspired textured finishes. It is offered in PANTONE Orient Blue, PANTONE Sporting Green, and PANTONE Silhouette. Each color variant includes subtle accents around the camera module.
It is just 7.99mm slim and weighs 193 grams. The phone features IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. It also has MIL STD 810H military-grade certification. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.
The phone sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED quad curved display with a resolution of 2772 × 1272 pixels. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+. The peak brightness goes up to 5200 nits, which should help in bright outdoor conditions. Motorola says it is the first smartphone to combine a 144Hz quad curved screen with Pantone Validated Color.
The global version of the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor built on a 4nm process. It comes with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The phone runs Android 16, and the company promises three major Android updates and four years of security maintenance releases.
In India, the company has confirmed that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 instead of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 found in the global variant.
Motorola has deeply integrated moto ai into the device. The Next Move feature scans the screen content and suggests relevant actions. Users can generate playlists, stickers, and wallpapers using Playlist Studio and Image Studio.
There are also smart voice prompts such as Catch me up, Pay attention, and Remember this. These tools are designed to summarize information and improve productivity.
The device also includes dual stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos support. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor for security.
The Motorola Edge 70 Fusion is the first smartphone to feature the Sony LYTIA 710 sensor. The main camera is a 50MP sensor with Optical Image Stabilization and f/1.8 aperture. It is supported by a 13MP ultra-wide camera with macro option and 122 degree field of view.
On the front, there is a 32MP selfie camera with support for 4K video recording. Both front and rear cameras can record videos in 4K.
Motorola has integrated moto ai and a Photo Enhancement Engine to improve image stabilization and apply personalized styles.
The device offers two battery variants depending on the market. It comes with either a 5200mAh battery or a larger 7000mAh battery. Motorola claims up to 39 hours of usage with the 5200mAh unit and up to 52 hours with the 7000mAh battery. It supports 68W TurboPower fast charging and also offers reverse charging to power other devices.

Motorola has also announced a FIFA World Cup 26 Collection edition of the edge 70 fusion. This special model features a leather-inspired back cover that is textured like a football. It also includes 24K gold-plated accents on the Motorola logo and FIFA branding.
The edition comes with exclusive FIFA World Cup 26 tools, custom wallpapers, and ringtones. The official FIFA World Cup app is preinstalled. Users also get access to FIFA Heroes, a new mobile game for which Motorola is the exclusive smartphone partner.
