Instagram users reported widespread issues on Wednesday morning. Many users report being unable to access direct messages and other platform features.
When I checked Downdetector, it confirmed the same. More than 10,000 complaints were recorded during the outage. Most users reported platform access issues, and most complaints came from the United States.

Thousands of users also reported issues on that platform. Users also posted about it on X and Reddit.
At the time of writing, Meta Platforms, the parent company of Instagram, has not issued an official statement about the issue.
