Forza Horizon 6 is set to launch in less than two months on Xbox Series X|S and PC, and developer Playground Games has shared the official PC system requirements.

The game will support modern upscaling technologies like DLSS 4, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS. It will also include ray-traced reflections and global illumination to improve visuals.

The requirements are divided into four tiers depending on performance and graphics quality.

Minimum (1080p at 60 FPS, Low Settings)

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 / AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT / Intel Arc A380
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Storage: SSD
  • OS: Windows 10/11 (22H2 or later)

Recommended (1440p at 60 FPS, High Settings)

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT / Intel Arc A580
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Storage: SSD
  • OS: Windows 10/11 (22H2 or later)

Extreme (4K at 60 FPS, Extreme Settings)

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K / AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT
  • RAM: 24 GB
  • Storage: NVMe SSD
  • OS: Windows 10/11 (22H2 or later)

Extreme RT (4K 60 FPS with Ray Tracing)

  • CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K / AMD Ryzen 5 7700X
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT
  • RAM: 32 GB
  • Storage: NVMe SSD
  • OS: Windows 10/11 (22H2 or later)

With these requirements, the game clearly targets modern PC hardware, especially for players who want to enjoy 4K gaming with ray tracing. Running the game at 4K with ray tracing needs powerful hardware like RTX 4070 Ti or even RTX 5070 Ti. This clearly shows that Playground Games is focusing heavily on visual quality and realism.

It is also important to note that SSD is now mandatory, which is now a standard for modern AAA games for faster asset streaming and open-world design. The 16 GB RAM is the new baseline. This is no longer “recommended” but required even for minimum settings. At the same time, the game still offers flexibility. Players with mid-range hardware can still enjoy it at 1080p or 1440p.
