Crimson Desert developer Pearl Abyss has finally shared detailed system requirements for the PC version of the upcoming open-world action-adventure game. The studio also revealed performance details for console, macOS, and handheld versions of the game.
The studio had previously shared basic PC requirements, but this time it provided much more detailed information. Players can now see what hardware is needed for different resolutions and performance targets.
The game is powered by Pearl Abyss’ BlackSpace engine and appears to be quite demanding, especially for players who want to run it at 4K with high settings.
PC System Requirements
Pearl Abyss has listed five different configurations for PC players. One thing that remains the same across all setups is the memory and storage requirement. The game needs 16GB RAM and 150GB of SSD storage regardless of the graphics preset.

Minimum Requirements (Upscaled 1080p at 30 FPS)
This configuration is meant for entry-level gameplay.
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i5-8500
- RAM: 16GB
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit (22H2 or newer)
- Storage: 150GB SSD
Low Settings (1080p at 30 FPS)
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i5-8500
- RAM: 16GB
- OS: Windows 10 64-bit
- Storage: 150GB SSD
Recommended Settings (1080p at 60 FPS or 4K at 30 FPS)
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600 or Intel Core i5-11600K
- RAM: 16GB
- Storage: 150GB SSD
High Settings (1440p at 60 FPS)
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X or Intel Core i5-12600K
- RAM: 16GB
- Storage: 150GB SSD
Ultra Settings (4K at 60 FPS)
For the best visual experience, players will need powerful hardware.
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT or NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X or Intel Core i5-13600K
- RAM: 16GB
- Storage: 150GB SSD
These requirements suggest the game will scale well across different hardware levels, but running it at ultra settings will require high-end components.
Console Performance Modes
Pearl Abyss also revealed how the game will perform on current-generation consoles.

PlayStation 5
Owners of PlayStation 5 will get three different graphics modes.
- Performance Mode: 1080p at 60 FPS with low ray tracing
- Balanced Mode: Upscaled 4K at around 40 FPS
- Quality Mode: Upscaled 4K at 30 FPS with higher ray tracing
PlayStation 5 Pro
The more powerful PlayStation 5 Pro will use Sony’s upgraded PSSR upscaling technology.
- Performance Mode: Upscaled 4K at 60 FPS from 1080p
- Balanced Mode: Upscaled 4K at around 40 FPS from 1440p
- Quality Mode: Native 4K at 30 FPS with Ray Tracing Ultra
Xbox Consoles
On Xbox Series X, players will get similar performance modes.
- Performance: 1080p at 60 FPS
- Balanced: Upscaled 4K at around 40 FPS
- Quality: Upscaled 4K at 30 FPS with ray tracing
The weaker Xbox Series S will run the game at lower resolutions.
- Performance Mode: 720p at 40 FPS
- Quality Mode: 1080p at 30 FPS
- Ray tracing: Not supported
macOS Support
Interestingly, Crimson Desert will also launch on macOS on day one. AAA games rarely release on macOS at launch, so this is a notable move.

The game will support Apple Silicon chips starting with the M2 Pro.
- Minimum: Apple M2 Pro, 720p at 30 FPS
- Recommended: Apple M3 or M4 chips, 1080p gameplay
- High: M2 Max or M3 Max chips, up to 1440p
- Ultra: M3 Ultra or M4 Max chips, up to 4K at 60 FPS
The macOS version will use MetalFX upscaling to achieve better performance.
Handheld Support

Pearl Abyss also confirmed support for handheld gaming devices. On the ROG Xbox Ally, the game will run at 720p with around 40 FPS using FSR 3 frame generation. The more powerful ROG Xbox Ally X can run the game at upscaled 1080p with up to 60 FPS, depending on the selected graphics mode.
