Samsung has launched the Galaxy F70e 5G in India, expanding its popular F series lineup. The smartphone comes with a large display, a massive battery, and long-term software support. It starts at Rs. 12,999 and will be available for purchase from February 17.

The Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G features a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate helps with smoother scrolling and better gaming performance. The display also supports High-Brightness Mode and can reach up to 800 nits, which improves visibility when using the phone outdoors. Samsung has added a 2-step tempered glass layer to improve durability.

The phone comes with a leather-like finish on the back, giving it a premium look for its price range. It has a flat frame, measures 8.2mm in thickness, and weighs 199 grams. The Galaxy F70e 5G also carries an IP54 rating, offering protection against dust and minor water splashes. It is available in two colors, Spotlight Blue and Limelight Green.

It packs a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor built on a 6nm process. It comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB using a microSD card. The device runs Android 16 with Samsung’s One UI 8.0 on top. Samsung has announced six years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for this device, which is uncommon in this price segment.

A key highlight is the inclusion of Samsung Knox Vault. This is a hardware-based security system that stores sensitive data like PINs, passwords, and biometric information in a separate, isolated environment. The phone also supports fingerprint and face authentication for UPI payments through Samsung Wallet. An Auto Blocker feature is included to prevent unauthorized app installations.

The Galaxy F70e 5G features a dual rear camera setup placed inside what Samsung calls the Iconic Track Camera Deco. The main camera uses a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and autofocus. It is supported by a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots. On the front, the phone has an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity features are 5G SA/NSA (12 5G Bands), Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C Port.

The smartphone is powered by a large 6,000mAh battery, which Samsung says is around 20 percent larger than the battery used in its predecessor. This should comfortably support a full day of usage, including video streaming and browsing. The phone supports 25W fast charging, but Samsung does not include a charger in the box.

The Samsung Galaxy F70e 5G is priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs. 14,999. With bank and coupon offers worth Rs. 1,000, the effective starting price comes down to Rs. 11,999. The smartphone will be available via Samsung.com, Flipkart, and select offline retail stores starting February 17.
