The Pokémon Company has officially announced a new Pokémon Presents broadcast. The livestream will take place on February 27 at 6:00 a.m. PT and 9:00 a.m. ET. Fans will be able to watch it on YouTube in both English and Japanese.
The presentation will share the latest Pokémon news as part of the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebrations.
February 27 is celebrated every year as Pokémon Day. It marks the original launch of Pokémon Red and Green in Japan in 1996. Over the years, this date has become the biggest annual event for major Pokémon announcements.
Pokémon Presents is a special video showcase hosted by The Pokémon Company. The company uses this format to reveal new games, updates for existing titles, anime projects, mobile game events, and other franchise announcements. Since it replaced Pokémon Direct presentations in 2020, Pokémon Presents has become the main platform for big reveals.
Last year’s presentations included updates for games like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and news related to spin-off titles such as Pokémon Unite and Pokémon GO. Fans are now expecting fresh announcements, possible new game reveals, and anniversary-themed content.
Since this year marks 30 years of Pokémon, expectations are higher than usual. The franchise has grown from a pair of Game Boy titles into a global entertainment brand that includes mainline RPGs, competitive games, anime series, trading cards, and movies. A milestone like this often brings special collaborations, limited-time in-game events, merchandise announcements, and possibly a new main series entry or remake.
